Many people are concerned about high levels of student debt and the level of competition for graduate jobs. A legal apprenticeship could be an opportunity to get ahead of the game and earn a salary whilst you gain the knowledge and skills to build a successful career in law. It can also be an option if you are already working in the legal sector but are not yet a qualified lawyer. Before making your decision though we recommend that you do your research thoroughly. There is lots of information on this site, via the links and in the Legal Apprenticeships FAQs.
Legal apprenticeships - the different routes
There are several legal apprenticeship pathways - we can advise on which is the best fit for an individual and for the employer. We can support apprentices in the following roles:
- Legal administrator
- Chartered Legal Executive
- Conveyancing Technician/Licensed Conveyancer
- Solicitor (in partnership with the University of Law)
You can also study with Damar to become a conveyancing technician or licensed conveyancer outside an apprenticeship.
Progression from one level of legal apprenticeship to another is possible and so it is possible to create a career structure that begins at entry level and leads all the way to qualification as a solicitor, licensed conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive.
