Qualifications

Most apprenticeships are made up of several different qualifications that are designed to both develop knowledge and then ensure that individuals are applying that knowledge consistently in the workplace.

Angela Renshaw | Curriculum Lead for Accounts

We deliver intermediate, advanced and higher apprenticeships. An intermediate (Level 2) apprenticeship is broadly equivalent to five good GCSEs. An advanced (Level 3) apprenticeship is the vocational equivalent of two A-Levels. We also offer higher apprenticeships (Level 4 and above) in areas including management, accountancy and law. Apprenticeships are flexible programmes that are designed to be tailored to suit different employers and roles. As a result, one of our students working in an administrative role for a firm of solicitors will study different content to a student who is an administrator in the travel industry.

We also offer a range of complementary qualifications, including:

  • CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) management qualifications
  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications.
  • CLC/SQA conveyancing diplomas.

Where a full apprenticeship is too broad a qualification to meet specific training needs, we can deliver individual components designed to, say, improve front line customer service skills.
